SeaGen Installation
Marine Current Turbines Ltd (MCT) has completed all installation works in Strangford Lough on its 1.2MW SeaGen tidal energy system. The SeaGen system was position on the seabed in April 2008 using the crane barge Rambiz, operated by the Belgium Company Scaldis.
Supplementary installation work was completed using the Missing Link barge operated by the Dutch company Hapo.
Installation was completed in June 2008, which first operation in July 2008.
